AVON ROWING CLUB EXECUTIVE MEETS.
At a meeting 1 of the executive of the Avon Rowing Club the following were present: Messrs C. James (in the chair), F. Agassiz. A. T. Evans. N. Barber, F. Brettell, J. R. Harley, C. It. Kelly, A. C. Jones. A. Woodham, A. A. Boot and R. F. Batchelor (secretary). A motion of sympathy was passed with the relatives of the late Mr A. O’Malley, who had been a vice-president for several years. , , , Mr A. T. Evans was appointed delegate to the Opening Day Committee, and was instructed to support the holding of the same races as last year. The president (Mr C. James) gave interesting information regarding the action of the Wanganui Association in forwarding a remit to the New Zealand Association to reduce the levy at present paid by affiliated associations.
