CHILDREN S PARTY.

Once every year the directors of the Caledonian Society entertain the children of the members and give a monster party. Last evening the party was held in the Society Hall where over three hundred and fifty children were present. Games and amusements were thoroughly appreciated by the children but the thrill of the function was the real party tea, set at long tables in the supper room. Pink and white blossom decked the tables which were laden with attractive cakes. As the children filed out of the room they were presented with balloons, and gay paper hats, and the hall soon presented a very animated appearance. At 9 p.m. the small children went home, tired but happy, and the older children danced. During rn interval the president, Mr C. S. Thomas, introduced Mrs Thomas, who presented the prizes won in the recent Caledonian competitions.
