KRISHNAMURTI DISSOLVES STAR OF THE EAST ORDER.

“ THE NEW MESSIAH ” MAKES PRONOUNCEMENT. <Usited Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received August 6, 1.50 p.m.) LONDON, August 5. Mrs Besant, whose path with Krishnamurti, the New Messiah, has not been without pitfalls, has bowed to a dramatic announcement by the young prophet at the National Congress in Holland, that the Order of the Star of the East is henceforth dissolved. Kxishnamurti said: “Religious philosophers need no organisation, yet its members are unwilling to face the truth. What then is the use of organisation ? ” Mrs Besant announces: “Considering Krishnamurti’s viewpoint, the dissolution of the Order appears to be a logical step. The various trusts will carry out the publication of Krishnamurti’s writings, and will bring its message to the world. That message is only partly understood at present, but it contains profound truths, and will be more fully appreciated as humanity evolves. My fundamental belief in Kxishnamurti as a world teacher makes me more inclined to observe and study than to pronounce an opinion on one whom I consider far my superior/* Mr George Lansbury, after a visit to Camp Star of the East, stated: “Krishnamurti’s declaration is just what 1 expected. He represents the new thought. Our time refuses to organise either mental or moral crutches for mankind. I rejoice that Khrishnamurti has broken the bondage of a mere organisation relying solely on the truth of his teachings to appeal to mankind.” —Australian Press Association.
