“Star’s” Insurance Scheme Will Now Cover Motorists.

NEW SCHEDULE INCLUDES OFFER OF UNPRECEDENTED LIBERALITY.

FOR THE FIRST TIME in New Zealand passengers in motorcars and drivers of cars will he covered in tile great new free insurance scheme offered to subscribers to “ The Star,” and shortly to come into operation. By a special arrangement with the Prudential Company, the great corporation that guarantees “The Star’s” offer, we are able to announce an unprecedented schedule of benefits. Eiberal as the old schedule was, it is surpassed by this new offer. Hitherto claims of pedestrians injured in motor accidents, and to the relatives of those unfortunately killed have been paid. Now we extend the benefits to the motorist himself, and to his or her passengers. If any in a motor-car being driven for pleasure, or to or from work, be killed, their relatives will receive £250. In the event of husband and wife being killed the amount will be £SOO. If the motorist sustains a broken arm or leg above the wrist or ankle, or a broken collarbone, or jaw, he will receive £lO. In our last policy tlie sum offered in respect of a fatal accident to a passenger on a train was £IOOO. Under the new policy it is £2OOO. And the total liability in respect of any one accident has been raised to £5000; in the event of more than two registered readers being killed in one accident to a train, or more than five being killed in an accident to a lift or steamer, this sum will be divided pro rata among- their beneficiaries. All the old benefits remain. The footballer, cricketer, golfer, tennis player and hockey player are again covered to the extent of £l5O in the event of death, or total disablement, £SO for partial disablement, and £lO in the event of certain other specified injuries. The home protection is there again, and children from six to sixteen are also insured against broken limbs. Double benefits are offered in the event of accident involving husband and wife if one of them is registered. In the street, on train or steamer, in the home, on the way to work, cycling, motor-cycling, or driving a car, a cart or a buggy, on the sports ground, or while boating on harbour or river, “ The Star ” offers, free, to remove your financial anxieties in the event of accident, to provide for your dependents in the event of death.
