ISLAND CHIEFS ASSEMBLE TO HEAR RADIO FROM N.Z.
(Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND. July 5. Captain Campbell, of Rarotonga, writes to a friend in Auckland stating that the recent broadcast from IYA of a concert was most successful 1500 miles away, and was attended by native chiefs who arrived by car. Not the least interesting part of the programme was a short address by Mr F. W. Platts, late Commissioner of Cook Islands, and now Resident Magistrate at Hamilton.
