“The committee has given consideration to the possibility of finding employment for boys from overseas, in from Inverness, in accordance with the letter recently received from the Inverness Chamber of Commerce,” reported the Vocational Guidance Committee of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce last night. ” The information with which the committee was supplied by the Labour Department was not of a promising nature: the council is now requested, however to authorise further inquiries being made from the Inverness Chamber of Commerce before a definite recommendation is submitted.” The council of the chamber adopted the committee’s report.
