THANKSGIVING SERVICE AT WESTMINSTER TO BE RE-BROADCAST.
The special thanksgiving service to be held in Westminster Abbey, London. to commemorate the recovery of the King from his recent illness, will be re-broadcast by 3YA next Sunday evening, providing the rtmospheric con’itions are suitable. The service commences in London at 11 a.m., and will be received in Christchurch at about 10.30 p.m. A united civic service is to be held at 3 p.m. at the "athedral, the Bishop of Christchurch having invited representatives of all Protestant denominations to attend. The collection will be in aid of the earthquake relief funds. This service will be broadcast by 3YA. At the Catholic Cathedral a thanksgiving service will be held at 7 p.m. The collection will not be in aid of the earthquake relief funds, as it has already been rC *ted to another purpose. but arranj ments are being made to take up a collection for that purpose at a later date.
