At the Newmarket meeting, the following was the result of the PRINCESS OF WALES’S STAKES, of 30 sovs each, with 2000 sovs added; second horse 300 sovs and third horse 100 sovs from the stake. One mile and a half. FAIRWAY, Lord Derby’s b h by Phalaris—Scapa Flow, 4yrs 1 CYCLONIC, Major J. Courtauld’s ch h by Hurry On—Volcanic, 4yrs 2 ATHFORD, Mr W. Barnett’s b h by Blandford—Athasi, 4yrs .... 3 Four horses started. Won by three-quarters of a length.— Australian Press Association-United Service.
