SOUTHERN CROSS LEAVES THIS WEEK FOR ENGLAND.
MACHINE BEHAVES WELL IN TEST. (United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, June 15. Squadron-Leader Ivingsford-Smith tested the Southern Cross, in a flight over Richmond, the machine behaving well. The Governor-General, Lord Stonehaven, was at the controls while the aeroplane was circling over the aerodrome.
Kingsford-Smith hopes to start before next week-end on his flight to England, the first stage being a non-stop flight to Derby. The crew will be the same as before.—Australian Press Association.
