(Special to' the “ Star.”) ASHBURTON, June 15. This week's notifications of infectious diseases in the.borough include two of scarlet fever and two of pneumonia. In the country there were six cases- of scarlet fever and one of tuberculosis. The six cases of- scarlet fever occurred among the public hospital staff during the last two months. Personal. Mr C. M. Thomson, who has been on Wright, Stephenson’s grain staff for four years and has been promoted to Christchurch, was presented by Mr M’Donald, manager, on behalf of the staff, with a set of golf clubs. The Golf Club this afternoon presented him with a golf bag, and private friends last night presented him with a suitcase. _______.
