FATHER RYAN’S FUNERAL LARGELY ATTENDED.
. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 14. The funeral of Father Ryan, who was rector of St Patrick’s College, took place to-day and was very largely attended by the laity and clergy. Solemn Requiem Mass was celebrated at St Mary of the Angels. The celebrant was Dr Kennedy, Provincial of the Marist Order, and the preacher was Father Gilbert, formerly rector of St Patrick’s. Archbishop O’Shea conducted the service at the graveside. The Sacred Heart College (Auckland) and St Bede’s (Christchurch) were represented.
