BURGLARS TRY TO ENTER BANK IN AUCKLAND.
GOT ON ROOF, BUT FAILED IN SCHEME. Per Press Association. . AUCKLAND, June 14. An unsuccessful attempt was made last night to break nito the Sayings Bank.
The burglars apparently went up the well-lighted stairs in the Majestic Theatre, through several windows of a photographic studio, on to the roof of the bank, carrying a step-ladder some twenty yards. Unable to effect an entry to the bank they left the step-ladder as evidence of their failure.
