A statement of his attitude -with regard to neighbours who bring their grievances and disputes into Court was made by Mr Page, S.M., at Wellington yesterday, when th*e daughters of two Plimmerten families summoned one another for assault and asked for sureties of the peace. Mr Page said that it was intolerable that matters of this sort should go on between neighbours. After suggesting that the parties should come to an agreement, whereupon he would adjourn the case sine die, Mr Page continued: “I want them to, understand that I will not have the 'time of the Court taken up with these kind of disputes and if their behaviour continues I will have them both substantially fined."
