A strong form of mouse-trap has been discovered by Mr J. Marston, of Salisbury Street. Mr Marston left a bottle of salad oil uncorked on a shelf. When he next went to use the oil, he found that the bottle contained four mice, packed closely together, up to the level of the oil. The bottom mouse was a full-grown rodent, and the others were young ones. The mice, evidently attracted by the smell of the oil, ventured too far and were unable to escape from the bottle.
