AMANULLAH’S BROTHER-IN-LAW MARCHING.
FOREIGNERS TO BE EVACUATED AT ONCE. (United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). DELHI, January 29. Ali Ahmed Jan, formerly Governcr of Kabul, Amanullah's brother-in-law, who has been proclaimed King of Afghanistan by the Shinwaris and other tribesmen at Jagdalak, near Jalalabad, is now marching to Kabul. In view of this development the Government of India has decided to evacuate British and foreign nationals from the Legations at Kabul. Two troop ’planes will leave Peshawar this morning. Sir Francis Humphreys, the British Minister, will be the last to leave. Possibly ex-King Amanullah will support Ali’s attempt to wrest the throne from Bacchasakao.—Australian Press Association.
