An area of land at Domett, originally set aside as a site for a public hall, has been declared a reserve for recreation purposes. The Sumner Borough Council has been authorised to borrow a sum not exceeding £SOO “for the purpose of meeting the cost of urgent repairs to the Sumner pier.” The expenditure is to be repaid out of revenue in the ensuing financial year.
