MEN WORKING AT HIGH PRESSURE ON TUNNEL SYSTEM.
The three remaining electric locomotives for the Tunnel line will arrive in Christchurch on Thursday. They will be transferred to the Linwood sheds to be adjusted.
Work on the Woolston sub-station has been almost completed. The Public Works Department’s test-ing-officers are testing the wires in connection with the system, and will work at high pressure through the holidays, including Christmas Day, to have the work finished as soon as possible.
