A HALL FOR ELMWOOD.
To the Editor. Dear Sir, —The residents of the Elmwood Park neighbourhood need a hall or club house and they should try to build it by means of subscriptions from residents having young, or grown-up, families in the Papanui Road and St Albans West neighbourhood. Since Mr T. E. Tajdor died, no member has done anything for the Papanui RoadSt Albans West neighbourhood, all attention being given to St Albans North and Edgeware Road locality. It is a pity to see the young people trying to use the Elmwood School rooms, by having them cleared of seats and furnished with chairs, etc., every few weeks so that they can have a dance, or a concert or a party of any sort. This is all very well for a bush neighbourhood, where the only building is the schoolhouse. In quite small places in Australia, America, and India, there is always a club house and its grounds for use as a place of reunion by the subscribers at a moderate quarterly fee. In addition, there are often a library and various amusements.—l am, etc., CLUB TOGETHER.
