TO-DAY’S STREET COLLECTION.
The Rotary Club’s appeal will close to-day with the street collection, which will give every person in the city an opportunity to contribute to a cause so worthy. The club’s collectors will be stationed in Cathedral Square and at Bonnington’s Corner, Ballant3 r ne's Corner, and Cook and Ross’s Corner, and to everyone who contributes, be it the widow’s mite or the millionaire’s fiver, a badge will be given. An auction sale will be held in Cathedral Square at 9 o’clock this morning. This evening, as a result of the cooperation of the public with the Rotary Club, two hundred homes will be made brighter and happier than would have been the case but for the efforts of the club and the public.
