Endorse was first out and sprinted along the straight. Becky Sharp apd Dresden China ran *iong over half a mile in 51sec. Quantum was sprinted. Bourse worked along easily. Quantum is to race at Taunerenikau ; and Bourse will not race over the holidays. Historic was sent a mile, which he ran in lmin 44sec. Black Eyed Sue was his mate over the first half and Skv' Bird over the second half of the journey. He accomplished his task pleasingly and is in good order. He will now probably take his place in the Manawatu Cup. Kentish Lady and Duellona were companions over five furlongs in lmin 4 2-ssec. Sapient. Push and Tobaccoland ran half a mile in 50sec. Tobaccoland finishing behind the other pair. Ripdale and Tripos galloped seven furlongs in lmin 32sec. Rotowhero finished in front of Australis over seven furlongs in lmin 33 sec. Pan tier beat Rory Mor over seven furlongs in lmin 30sec. Pantler went fairly well, cpnsidering that he does not gallop well on the track. Roi de \al ran along over six furlongs in lmin 17sec. He is in good order. Decoy Bird and Panorama gave a good display of jumping over three hurdles. Decoy Bird afterwards strode out very freely in a working gallop. Lady Gav and Clarendon were allotted just useful work. Tourist, who appears to have thrown off his lameness, was kept to pace work in the centre. < ourtlike was restricted to a very easy half mile. The major portion of the -ork was carried out on the plough, which was in excellent order. leremoana. Miss Field and Grand Acre finished together at the end of five furlongs on the plough in lmin 7 Lucky Bag and Desert Lad were goir.g better than a Lucullus gelding from New s stable at the end of six furlongs no the plough in lmin 22sec. Ilymestrason and Clarinda left seven furlongs behind on the plough in lmin 35sec. The former had the advantage fit the post. Novar and Kecldar ran a mile and a quarter on the plough in 2min ISsec. Neither was extended, and they finished on terms. Imperial Spark drew right a wav from Biimp at the end of a mile on the plough, the Cup candidate fulfilling his task attractively in lmin 45 2-ssec. Rowley had St Melba as a companion over seven furlongs left behind in lmin 33 2-ssec, the last half mile taking 54 2-ssec. Vexatious finished stronger than Mister Gamp, with Elvsianor two lengths away at the close of a seven-furlongs task on the plough in lmin 34 2-ssec. f'allanmore alone ran half a mile on the plough in 52 2-ssec. Infiame hung on better than usual to finish on terms with Moutoa Fame over six furlongs in lmin 21 2-ssec. Hot Springs had the advantage over King Hal in a task on No. 3 grass, a half-mile being left behind in 50 l-ssec. Peneus was too good for Grand National over seven furlongs on the plough in lmin 38sec. Moutoa Treasury was clear of Dobbin at the end of six furlongs on the plough run in lmin 18sec, an attractive effort. # There was little between Singleton and Polonette at the end of half a mile on the plough in 52 3-ssec. The Cup candidate First Sight went a strong round on the plough and was anxious to speed up. Home Made was going better than Attaria at the end of a mile on the plough in lmin 47 l-ssec. Kalos was in front of Locarno at the close of a mile on the plough, the last six furlongs taking lmin 25sec. Statuary was well clear of Killogie in a half-mile scamper on N’o. 3 grass, breaking slsec. Pateroa left five furlongs behind on the plough in lmin 6sec. Archeria gave Disrank a three lengths advantage in the early stages of a six-furlong gallop on N"o. 3 grass, but gathered his companion up in the run home to complete the task in lmin 19sec Elicit and Calluna went a round over lour fences. Both jumped well, but the pace was not on. Roburant was sent over four fences. Although he propped at the first, he jumped fairly well thereafter. An unnamed full sister to Valuator had Lin Arlington as a companion in a sprint in 26 2-ssec. Lin Arlington went on to jump a couple of fences in promising style. R. S. Bagby will ride First Sight in the Cup. C. Broughton will pilot Silver Paper in the Fitzherbert Handicap. W. Broughton has been engaged for Miss Field, Opa and Irr serial Spark. AN OMISSION.
