Quantum is to race at Taunerenikau ; and Bourse will not race over the holidays. Historic was sent a mile, which he ran in lmin 44sec. Black Eyed Sue was his mate over the first half and Skv' Bird over the second half of the journey. He accomplished his task pleasingly and is in good order. He will now probably take his place in the Manawatu Cup. Kentish Lady and Duellona were companions over five furlongs in lmin 4 2-ssec. Sapient. Push and Tobaccoland ran half a mile in 50sec. Tobaccoland finishing behind the other pair. Ripdale and Tripos galloped seven furlongs in lmin 32sec. Rotowhero finished in front of Australis over seven furlongs in lmin 33 sec. Pan tier beat Rory Mor over seven furlongs in lmin 30sec. Pantler went fairly well, cpnsidering that he does not gallop well on the track. Roi de \al ran along over six furlongs in lmin 17sec. He is in good order. Decoy Bird and Panorama gave a good display of jumping over three hurdles. Decoy Bird afterwards strode out very freely in a working gallop. Moutoa Treasury was clear of Dobbin at the end of six furlongs on the plough run in lmin 18sec, an attractive effort. # There was little between Singleton and Polonette at the end of half a mile on the plough in 52 3-ssec. Statuary was well clear of Killogie in a half-mile scamper on N’o. 3 grass, breaking slsec. Pateroa left five furlongs behind on the plough in lmin 6sec. Archeria gave Disrank a three lengths advantage in the early stages of a six-furlong gallop on N"o. 3 grass, but gathered his companion up in the run home to complete the task in lmin 19sec Elicit and Calluna went a round over lour fences. Both jumped well, but the pace was not on. Roburant was sent over four fences. Although he propped at the first, he jumped fairly well thereafter. An unnamed full sister to Valuator had Lin Arlington as a companion in a sprint in 26 2-ssec. Lin Arlington went on to jump a couple of fences in promising style. R. S. Bagby will ride First Sight in the Cup. C. Broughton will pilot Silver Paper in the Fitzherbert Handicap. W. Broughton has been engaged for Miss Field, Opa and Irr serial Spark. AN OMISSION.
