DAUGHTER CUT OUT OF WILL IF SHE MARRIES “A CERTAIN PERSON.”

Miss Kathleen Winterbottom. of Hardhorn, near Blackpool, is confronted with the choice of marrying a man of whom her mother disapproved or inheriting from her about £IO,OOO. It was announced yesterday that her mother. Mrs Margaret Winterbottom. of First Avenue, South Shore. Blackpool, who died on Jtily 6, left estate of the gross value of £23.387, with net personality £20,161. She left half the residue of her property. after a bequest of £SO, to her son and half to her daughter Kathleen. The gifts to her daughter are conditional upon her not marrying "a certain person.” If she does marry him all of the property given to her goes to her brother. Miss Winterbottom is left her mother’s residence and furniture, which is now advertised for sale. Her brother, Captain Stanley Winterbottom, is with his regiment in Egypt. Mrs Stanley Winterbottom. of Bo>combe Road, South Shore, told a reporter: “I cannot tell you the name <*f the men the will. So far as I know he has not been in Blackpool for some months. Miss Winterbottom is the only person who can tell you his name.” Neighbours stated that Miss Winterbottom was away from home.
