A very successful Christmas gathering of the 1.0.0. F. Star of St Albans Lodge was held in the Armagh Street Ridgley Hall on Monday evening. There was a large gathering of children and parents. A large Christmas tree was nicely decorated with toys. Father Christmas was met by sixty children at the door, and followed to the tree. He presented each child with a toy from the tree. Games and dancing were indulged in. A song was sung by Master P. Brooks. Recitations were given by Misses M. Webster, P. Hawker, Masters M. Webster, B. Garland and Misses P. White and Z. Hawker. THE CASHEL STREET SENSATION The big rush to Messrs Hastie, Bull and Pickering’s “Wonder Sale” continues. The wonderful value of the goods offered and their great variety appear to please the hundreds of eager purchasers. Special assistants have been engaged, and arrangements made for quick service. 0477
