YOUTH JUMPED FROM WELLINGTON WIRELESS MAST.
MENINGITIS CAUSED EXTREME DEPRESSION. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, December 21. At an inquest to-day into the death of Melville Wood, aged eighteen, who was killed on Wednesday evening through jumping from the aerial tower of the Wellington broadcasting station, 2YA, on Mount Victoria, the verdict was to the effect that deceased died from injuries received through jumping from a wireless mast while in a state of extreme mental depression, caused by an attack of meningitis.
