The North Canterbury Caledonian Society will hold their annual snorts gathering at Amberley on New Year’s Day- An attractive programme will be given and record entries for all events have been received. The Amberley Domain is recognised as an ideal picnic ground and visitors to Christchurch and the public generally are recommended to make the trip to Amberlev and enjov a day in the country. Hot water is procurable on (lie ground. Special train arrangements have been made. A special train will leave Christchurch at 845 a.m. and will return after the sports. Excursion fares have been arranged.
