FIRE CAUSES DAMAGE AT TOKOMARU BAY.
Per Press Association. GISBORNE, December 21. A garage owned by Mr Bignell Holmes at Tokomaru Bay, a large wooden building, was destroyed by fire this morning as the result of a mishap during vulcanising operations. All the cars in the gargge were saved, but material and plant were destroyed. A billiard saloon and shop occupied by Wi Pota and the Native Trust Office, adjoining, were-nteo destroyed.
