GOOD CONGREGATIONS AT CAMP OF SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS
Notwithstanding the heavy ram which fell yesterday, the meetings at the camp at the Addington Show Grounds were carried on without interruption. The large marquee accommodated good congregations, not only during the session of the conference, but also lor the Bible studies which were conducted by Pastor A. G. Daniells. During the proceedings of the cont'erenee the rain at times was so heavy that it required considerable effort on the part ot the speakers to make themselves heard, but with tltfs exception the rain did not interfere in the least with the regular programme. Considerable discussion took place over the question of educating the people on the matter of dietetic reform. As*a denomination, Adventists have taught the benefits of a vegetarian diet for many \ cars, and have found it conducive to
the general health, and considerable efforts are made in various ways to educate the public on the principles of healthful living. Some discussion took place over the question of the location of the next camp, and it was voted that the executive committee should give consideration to the holding of a camp meeting next year at Oamaru or some other southern town.* In the evening the public meeting was conducted by Evangelist D. Sibley, of Dunedin. His subject was “ The League ol Nations and Prophecy.” He questioned whether the League of Nations was God’s appointed agency for the securing of international peace and goodwill on earth, believing that we could not look tor universal peace until Jesus Christ set up His Kingdom and ruled in the earth as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
THRILLING. It is such fun getting the presents at Minsons, they seem to have just the things anyone is sure to love to receive. Things you can use and have for years. o
