AWAPUNI NOTES. Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., December 21. It was an off morning at Awapuni, horses being restricted to pace work. New arrivals include Gordon with Mon Mint, Evensong, W. Goscomb with Polonett, Cohesion, Jeapette and a couple of youngsters; G. H. Goscomb, with Singleton, all Gisborne mentors. The Nelson trainer. Tonkin, arrived with Hunting Call, the two-year-old half-brother by Hunting Song to Royal Blood, who is making his first ance under silk in juvenile events. He will be ridden by the local light-weight, Stratton.
F. D. Jones is expected to arrive from the south to-day with First Sight, Towai, Belcaire; M’Aulay with Nightmarch and Sir Roy; Pine with Noteworthy and Silver Coot; and Stone with Silver Paper and Aspiring.
