CHILDRENS FANCY DRESS CARNIVAL. This year the annual break-up of the Ashley School (December IS) took the form of a children’s fancy dress carnival, and the scholars, numbering upwards of fifty, presented a very gay spectacle assembled under the electric lights to commence the grand march, which they performed without a hitch. The costumes were judged by Mrs W. A. Rowse. Rangiora, who awarded the prizes as follows: »- Infant girls—Coleen Wright (Flower Girl) 1, Xora Beattie (Little Miss Muft'et) 2.
