That a winter show be held in Grand National Week, 1929, provided satisfactory arrangements can be made, was a motion carried unanimously at the meeting of the executive of the Winter Show Committee yesterday afternoon. The Heathcote County Council’s proposal to raise a loan of £2200 for a reservoir, pumping-plant, pipeline and reticulation pipes for a water-supply in the Mount Pleasant Riding, was carried at yesterday’s poll by 88 votes to [ia.
