“THE GIRL FRIEND” SEASON ENDS TO-NIGHT.
There is much to commend “ The Girl Friend,” which is being produced at the Theatre Royal by Miss Annie Croft and her company. It is bright, witty, snappy, tuneful and full of fun. Its novel dance items are particularly attractive. Amongst its merits are the staging and setting, which are in the best style. Behind these, or, rather, in front of them, are highly talented players, who know their work and who have been trained to do it well. The chorus is an exceptionally good one. “ The Girl Friend ” itself is a piece that can be enjoyed by all, for it has in it a full measure of the jby and spirit of youth.
