Mr T. 11. M’Williams, wireless operator of the Southern Cross, reached Auckland from Wellington on Friday. He is still in association with Squad-ron-Leader Kingsford Smith and FlightLieutenant Ulm, and is merely spending a holiday in New Zealand until their plans further develop. He expects to receive a cablegram summoning him to return to them in Sydney at any time. Their plans are not rigidly fixed yet, but they intend to go to America and (t is more than lik«4y they will take the Southern Cross with them. It is quite probable that the party may use it for the last part of the journey from Honolulu to California. Mr M’Williams expects to return to Wellington early this week.
