A QUERY.
To the Editor. Dear Sir, —Although a contributor to the “ Star ” I read occasionally another local evening paper. What I want to point out is the following: In Monday’s issue of the “ opposition ” paper a paragraph appeared giving the death of “Bun” Parker (Mr Charles Parker) a well-known city “ cabby.” In last night’s “ Star ” I noticed in the personal items that “ Mr Charles Parker, a well-known hansom cab driver of Christchurch, is at present in hospital, but is making satisfactory progress.” Which information is correct? —I am, etc, PUZZLED. (Hitch your waggon to the “Star.”— Ed.)
