MR MONTAGU NORMAN AGAIN TO BE ELECTED GOVERNOR OF BANK.
(United Press Assn. —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received November 17, 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, November 16. The Court of Directors of the Bank of England have agreed to recommend to the proprietors in April next that the Rt Hon Montagu Norman be reelected Governor for the year ensuing. Mr Norman will thus be re-elected for his tenth consecutive year of governorship, an event without, precedent. Until a few days ago, Sir Ernest Musgrave Harvey filled the position of Comptroller of the Bank.—British Official Wireless.
