AIR EXHIBITION PLANNED FOR 1929.

HINKLER’S GREAT FEAT PRAISED; MR HANDLEY PAGE SPEAKS OUT. (United Press Assm.—By Electrle Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received November 16, 9.35 am.) LONDON, November 15. The suggestion is made that at the 1929 International Aviation Exhibition, at Olympia, Sir Ross Smith’s and Squadron-Leader Bert Hinkler’s ’planes should be contrasted side by side. Further, Hinkler's ’plane should afterwards be given to the Commonwealth Museum. If so the Avro Company is ready to give Hinkler another. Speaking at to-day’s luncheon to inaugurate the Exhibition campaign, Mr Frederick Handley Page, discussing the year's achievements, said: “What could be more thrilling than Hinkler’s feat? Day after day he had plenty of flying and little sleep, showing us that there are still Britishers with guts!” Squadron-Leader Hinkler has presented to .the Queensland Government a composite film of his landing in Australia.—Australian Press Association.
