Several da3’light robberies of' residences have been reported from Beale3* Avenue and Caledonian Road. In one case a woman found a man on the premises and chased him. He showed a better turn of .speed and escaped. In another case the house had been “turned upside down,” ever\*thing movable having been thrown uj’on the. floor; of the various rooms.
