Tasman Flight

NOON WEATHER REPORT IS MORE HOPEFUL.

(Special to the “Star.”) BLENHEIM, October 12. The noon report gave promise of reasonably fine weather in the New Zealand area, but no definite news has been received of the conditions on the Australian side.

The Southern Cross is all ready for the flight and the airmen are still hoping that it will be possible to start to-morrow morning. Captain Findlay flew over to Wellington this morning with Major Wilkes as a passenger.
