£220,000 GIFT FOR SYDNEY UNIVERSITY.

A gift of city properties and securities valued at £220,000 to the Sydney University has been made by" Mr George H. Bosch, of Bosch, Barthel and Company, importers. Mr Bosch had previously made generous gifts to the University. The Chancellor, Sir William Cullen, in announcing the gift, described Mr Bosch as the University’s greatest and most magnanimous benefactor. It would enable the establishment of fulltime chairs in Medicine, Surgery and Bacteriologj r .—Australian Press Association. ■
