CHRISTCHURCH. DRUNKENNESS. For drunkenness, a first offender was fined 10s, in default twenty-four hours’ imprisonment. For cycling on the footpath, the following were fined: —Charles Bowbyes, 10s and costs: Gladys Cains, 10s and costs; Richard Costello, 10s and costs; Percy Franklin, 10s and costs; Leslie Gilts, 5s and costs; Edward Ernest Gough, 10s and costs; William John West, 10s and costs; Mrs Olive Johanson, ss. NO LIGHTS. For cvcling at night without lights, the following were fined:—Colin Carr, 10s and costs; Herbert Hirst, 10s and costs; William House, 10s and costs; James Matthews, 10s and costs; Elizar beth Millist, 10s and costs; Rhoda Nun week, 10s and costs; and Mary Ricketts, 10s and costs. TRAFFIC CASES. For negligently driving k motor-car on-, Papahui Road, .Maurice S. Hamber was fined £2 and costs ; For driving a car without a license, Goorfce Haffen&en -was convicted and was Ordered to pay 10$ costs. Richard B- PurVtr,; on a similar charge, was fined 10s and costs. Ernest O’Donnell, who made a voluntary appearance, was fined 10s for-driv-ing a motor-cycle without a license. Ronald Macintosh Macdonald was fined £1 and costs for failing to give way to traffic. For failing to sound his horn, he was convicted and discharged.
