WOMEN WHO SMOKE RUN GRAVE RISK.
MAY LOSE BOTH HEALTH AND BEAUTY. (United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copy right.) NEW YORK. October 10. A message from Boston states that Dr Schlink, of the Royal Prince Albert Hospital, Sydney, who is attending a cliniqaj congress of the American College of Surgeons there, stated that American girls and women were seriously injuring their health and beauty by excessive cigarette smoking. “Women who smoke incessantly are becoming extremely nervous, neurotic and typical nerve subjects for hospitals and specialists.” he said. “However, smoking and drinking in moderation will not affect women, but it seems that they smoke continuously because tfiey have all day to do it.” —Australian Press Association.
