CHRISTCHURCH. (Before 'Mr-£. D. Mosley, S.M.). DRUNKENNESS. For drunkenness, a female statutory first offender was fined 20s and cab hire 2s 6d, in default 24 hours’ imprisonment. REMANDED. Dudley Pollard (Mr Twyneham) who appeared on an affiliation charge, pieaded not guilty and was remanded till October 1. Mr Tracy appeared for the complainant. AN EXEMPTION GRANTED. John Thomas Cook, storekeeper at 850, Lincoln Road, was granted permission to keep his shop open on Saturday afternoons till 6 p.m., and to close on Monday afternoons.
