VETERANS’ CLUB. The annual meeting of Veterans Cricket Club was held on Thursday. The annual report and balance sheet showed a. credit balance. £3 15s. The following officers were elected: President.. Mr F. H. Britta.n, secretary, W. Brook; selectors, Messrs Fleming, Butler and Brook; captain, Mr C. Butler; vice-captain, Mr C. Harris. The opening match will take place on October 4 against t£e P. and. T. department. The meeting passed a. motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr G. Hickmot, who was a 6tv©ng supporter of the Veteran’s Club.
