“ Short Talks and Essays ” provided the programme for the meeting of the Christchurch Practical Psychology Club on Wednesday evening. Air James Stout presided. Items were contributed by Mrs Blake (“ Some Pros and Cons of Astrology"), Miss M'Swinney (“Thoughts are Things"), Mrs Stout (“ Relation of the Spine to Health and Disease ”). Mrs Rolls ; Essay by an anonymous member— Happiness”), Mr Mark Rolls (“The Importance of Vocational Guidance ”), Mr James Stout (“ Keeping up with the Prooession in the Quest for Truth ”). There was a good attendance, augmented by a number of new members whose interest has been aroused bv Dr Fennelly's recent course of lectures.
