VESSEL DAMAGED DURING STORM.
Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, September 26. During a severe storm raging during the last day or two, the oil-carrying vessel Paua sustained damage while discharging at the Newton King wharf. The plates on the starboard side were dented and the spring piles of the wharf also suffered. Discharge of the cargo has been completed and the vessel is waiting for the weather to moderate before leaving for Wellington. The westerly storm was the most severe for a long time.
