BETTY COMPSON STARS AT EVERYBODY’S.
Everybody's can be depended upon to give an excellent show. The music is always good, and the pictures are first-class. The leading picture on the current programme is a film entitled “ Counsel for the Defence." In this the popular actress, Betty Compson, plays the leading role. Among the themes open to the dramatist and the movie scenarist, none is more interesting from the viewpoint of resultant good drama, than that which centres round a court of law. or the intrigues and cunning and Machiavelli-like plotting of the legal office. The second attraction is ” The Big Show,” which brings back all the glories and thrills of childhood when the circus came to town. It is a circus of the old school, with Grimaldi-like clowns, and a brave showing of beauty and daring. Ail excellent selection of pictures is completed by the seventh series of " The Collegians " Mr Albert Bidgood and his Select Orchestra plays an admirable musical programme.
