SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNTS WILL BE SPENT ON MAIN HIGHWAYS CONSTRUCTION

THE Public Works Estimates for this year include substantial amounts for highways construction. The Akaroa to Christchurch road will have £19,552 spent on it. The North Canterbury Main Highways District has been allotted £27,212, the Canterbury Central District £118,429, and to South Canterbury District £34,073.
