ACCOSTED BY UNKNOWN MAN AND ASSAULTED.
(Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND. September 26. While walking down Valley Road on Sunday night, a young woman was struck several times on the head with a stone by an unknown man. She is still confined to her bed through loss of blood. Last night another young woman was assaulted. Miss Irma Ellis, aged 17, was walking along Mt. Eden Road, near Valley Road, returning from the- pictures, when she was accosted by an unknown man, who struck her a strong blow on the abdomen and then ran away.
