3YA.
To the Editor. Dear Sir,—From time to time one reads little nagging letters from people interested in radio. I admit at first there was much room for complaints, but of late 3YA seems to have been brought up to a high standard. The announcer certainly seems to be all that one could desire. The way he getshis tongue around the foreign titles of musical pieces is certainly both interesting and instructive. His lecturette on the pronunciation of words was again most instructive. Personally, I have also been sorry that he left off conducting the children’s hour on Sunday. Uncle Sam has a way with him with childrlen. Has explanation of Bible stories certainly held the attention of my grandchildren and they have all expressed their regrets at his giving up that service. I dislike nagging. If there are faults it is right to say so. but there is certainly room for praise lately.—l am, etc., LICENSE 3036.
