LINCOLN COLLEE GOVERNORS MEET.

'■ The Board of Governors of the Canterbury Agricultural College met yesI terday: present—Mr John Deans (chairman), Dr Denham, the Hon I). Buddo, M.F., Messrs H. S. S. Kyle, M.P., N. M. Orbell, G. Murray, R. E. Alexander . (director), T. A. Stevens and W. R. Banks. i On the motion of Professor Denham, the following resolution was carried: “That, at the earliest possible moment, a lecturer be appointed to assist the : director and give him more time to devote to the organisation and administration of the college.” The motion was seconded by Mr Banks. “It is too much to ask any man continually to pull his weight in so many departments,” said the proposer. “Have we the funds?” “No; that’s why I put in 'at the earliest possible moment.’ ” There were no dissentients to the motion. A letter from the Minister of Agricul- , ture said that Mr R. Macgillivray was being transferred to Christchurch as 1 Senior Agricultural Instructor. The chairman remarked that Mr J. A. was staying in Canterbury, though his transfer to the North Island ! had been announced.
