EVERYBODY’S HAS COMEDY PROGRAMME.

Comedy is the keynote of this week’s programme at Everybody’s Theatre. Three pictures are shown, and all contribute their quota of laughs and merriment. Johnny Hines, who has not been seen in Christchurch for some time, makes a reappearance in “ Chinatown Charlie," a bright, breezy comedy which abounds with movement, farce and humour. “ Woman wise,” the second attraction, is a romantic buslesque drama, in which runs a touch of humour. The story is laid in the oilfields of Persia, and centres about the love affairs of Russell, as a ne’er-do -well, and Pidgeon, a United States Consul, in the land of the pashas. The second series of M The Collegians,” those exhilarating comedies of joyous youth, also is screened. The Select Orchestra, under Mr Albert Bidgood, plays an admirable musical programme.
