The latest returns of the Greek election are as follow : Ycnizelists 228 Royalists 10 Kafandrists 3 Pangalists ] Independent 3 The number of deputies comprising the Assembly is 280. In a statement, .M. Venizclos expresses the hope that a Bill creating a Senate will be passed this year. Parliament will then proceed to the election of - a president. M. Venizelos, addressing a gathering of his friends, declared that the electoral victory was the most satisfactory event of his long political career. He fully realised his obligations to the party and the people, and the enormous majority would enable him to complete his programme.—Australian
